Dr. Sunny S. Kim is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon who is board-certified in American Board of Orthopedic Surgery as well as American Board of Spine Surgery. He has extensive experience in spine surgery having performed over 8000 cases of spine surgery of various complexities over last 20 years. He can evaluate and treat all types of spine problems no matter how complex they are. He routinely performs cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and spinal deformity surgeries as well as interventional spinal injections at Douglas County Hospital voted recently as top 100 hospital in the United States. He also performs surgeries at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls Minnesota and Riverview Health in Crookston Minnesota. Dr. Maria Zorawska is a physical medicine rehabilitation specialist with over 20 year experience concentrating on exclusively spine problems. She knows which patients need surgery and what types of surgeries they need. For those patients spine surgery is not applicable she can manage them nonoperatively with her extensive expertise. Comprehensive Spine Rehab Clinic for highly specialized expert nonsurgical treatment of chronic low back pain and chronic neck pain is also available at the clinic and is run by Douglas County Hospital.
Patients typically come from the entire five state area of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We are proud to claim that our clinic is 100% paperless meaning that all the data including medical records and imaging studies are digital and computerized. Electronic medical records can be immediately available at the end of patient visit and can be given to patients upon request. Records are also immediately transmitted to referring physicians without delay on the same day of patient visit.
